Char Grilled is set in the land of Aern, on Rallar, a world of magic and mystery. In Aern and Maral, years are counted from the end of a terrible war between the two lands, known as the Shield War. For this reason, despite the many conflicts that have happened since that time, years are labelled “Year of Peace”. Char Grilled starts in Year of Peace 871.
